If making an artificial intelligence with knowledge from the future sounds like a good idea, Baron Fortesque wants a word. With these precise presumptions he made The Chaos Engine. However the thing quickly rebelled against its creator, consumed his mind and turned Britannia into a desolate war zone of robots in the process. Six mercenaries sign up for the task, The Thug, Preacher, Mercenary, The Gentleman, Navvie and the Brigand. Each feature vastly different weapons and stats, which you can level up after each world.

There are in total four of them, with four levels in each totalling 16. The game always plays with two players, with the option to play with a friend or the CPU. To save frustration, there's also a handy password system that lets you start on the world you last played.
